MAY 2008 ATHLETE OF THE MONTH - EMMA WYNNE   2007 UNDER 19 IRONWOMAN CHAMPION

Emma is the 2007 Under 19 Australian Ironwoman Champion. In her first year in the open event this year, Emma achieved a third place in the series - in her first year of the Open Competition. She was also the Female Competitor of the Carnival in 2005 with 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.

Emma has competed in the Kellogs Nutri Grain Ironman series since she was 16 and has achieved a 3rd, a 5th, 7th and 8th placing in the series overall in those  4 years. This year Emma also acheived a 2nd Place in the Kurrawa race in round 2 of the series.

In the OCEAN ASSAULT series final this year - Emma won 5 of the 7 Surf Swim races and medalled in the other 2 races.

Australian Teams: The World Games in Germany and International Surf Challenge at Kurrawa Beach - both in 2005.

Emma is based on the Gold Coast at Burleigh Heads - though her family and boyfriend are in Perth!
