Ben Fouhy

Born 4 March 1979 in Taumarunui, is New Zealand's top flatwater canoer.

Paddling for 8 years, Ben's base behind his sharp performance on the world stage, came from training the Whanganui River near his home town of Taumarunui. His feel for the kayak and technical skills were honed after work and on weekends as he took advantage of every spare hour. Sometimes to the extent that he trained the river at night, with fog setting in and glasses left on the dash of his car. As if that wasn't a big enough challenge Ben soon mastered paddling the tricky grade two river down stream and back up the rapids in his six meter tippy racing kayak.Once the dedication set in the rewards were soon to follow. Securing the fastest paddles for teams at multisport races like the Crater to Lake, Tongariro MT Classic, Motu Challenge & Monty's Revenge, Ben then started to display talent in marathon white water races winning the Whanganui Descent and Waimakariri Classic

Glenn Codega

Born September the 29th -1979, Glenn Codega was raised in a small suburb called Browns Plains located South of Brisbane.  Glenn began racing competitively at the age of 8 dominating most age classes along the way to eventually winning a Queensland, Australian & World Title within the same year. Thinking the time was right to retire the bike at 14 Glenn played Rugby League for 3 seasons until a knee injury made him re-think his judgment and return back to BMX, since then Glenn slowly climbed his way back to the top while building a BMX company called Phirebird Raceways a company that provides essential services to the fastest growing sport on 2 wheels. In this time BMX was announced as a new Olympic discipline for 2008 the verdict was made by stealth and not due to the traditional view of racing as we know it, these new styles of tracks resemble downhill racing and with an extremely steep starting hill and skill orientated obstacles that provide that certain “awe” factor. The UCI continues to develop the UCI BMX Super Cross World Cup Series as the premier international BMX racing series for 2006 and beyond.
